Join us for a few hours of floating and community connection on the BEAUTIFUL Lake Jocassee!
Please follow these steps if you want to rsvp to come with:
1) There’s no fee from Nectar to join us, but you will need to reserve a spot through this page (so we know you’re coming, and don’t leave the shore without you)
PLEASE RESERVE YOUR SPOT IN THE GROUP BY May 22nd, so we know how many people plan on coming!
2) Book your kayak or paddle board through this link, from Eclectic Sun in Devil’s Fork State Park https://eclecticsun.com/rentals-reservations/ or bring your own equipment.
There’s only about 12 kayaks available on any given day, so space is limited.
PLEASE RESERVE YOUR KAYAK OR PADDLE BOARD THROUGH ECLECTIC SUN as soon as you register to make sure you can get a spot.
There are other kayak rental businesses near the lake but please be aware that Eclectic Sun is the only boat rental business within the grounds of the State Park, and the other businesses bring the kayaks to different boat ramps, so you’d have to kayak all the way in to meet us.
Rental prices:
Single Sit on Top or Sit In Kayak - $35 for 4 hours (4 hours is recommended, but we totally understand if you need to leave early).
Tandem/Double Sit On Top Kayak for two people (if you want to bring a buddy)- $40 for 4 hours
3) You will be required to pay for park entry $8 per person (unless you have the State Park Pass). Please park in the Day Use parking lot, near Eclectic Sun.
Eclectic Sun has snacks and beverages available for purchase as well if needed.
This will be a ladies day out on the water, we love our kids and menfolk (partners/friends), but we’re taking this time to have this float to ourselves. (Gals and gender expansive partners and friends welcome of course! Thank you!!!
No experience needed, the sit on top kayaks are pretty easy to navigate.
Please bring/wear:
Swimsuit or clothes that can get wet.
Sunglasses/hat
Sunscreen or UPF protective clothes
Snacks and a bottle of water
We HIGHLY recommend a dry bag to put your belongings in, you can bring it with you on the board/kayak. Here’s a great option if you want to get a cheap but great dry bag..
Amazon.com . A 10 Liter bag will easily hold a water bottle, keys, snacks, a phone, and a small towel.
***If you bring your own board or kayak, please bring a life jacket and whistle, it is required for every personal watercraft on the lake. The rentals come with a life jacket***
WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU ON THE LAKE!!!
PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT IS WEATHER DEPENDENT! If it is raining or forecasted to storm, we will need to cancel for safety reasons.
We will determine the need to cancel as soon as we see the weather, hopefully 2 days ahead.
Here is Eclectic Sun’s cancellation policy:
Cancellation Policy: Cancel at least 72 hours before your rental and you will receive a full refund, less any fees Eclectic Sun has already paid. Cancellations 48 hours prior to the reservation you have the option to reschedule or to receive credit towards your next rental. Cancellations within 48 hours no refunds or credit will be given. Eclectic Sun reserves the right to cancel any rental at any time due to unsafe conditions or any other factors. If we cancel your reservation you will receive a full refund. Once you start your rental, there will be no refunds given. If you show up late for your rental, your time still starts at your reserved time and no refunds are given.
